Akasaka Ozeki is a restaurant for lovers of Kuroge Wagyu A5, the top Japanese black beef. The restaurant is famous for having excellent meat, generous in portions (in the form of super thick cuts) at a very reasonable price. It's in a hidden passage (that everyone knows) near the busy Akasaka Mitsuke station, located in an old traditional house with the retro image of the Showa era of the mid 20th century. It has a highly demanded tasting menu due to its excellent value for money, called Gyu Ipp ... iki (a whole cow in Japanese). It includes meat and hormones: Harami (entraa), Ribs, Chops, Zabuton (very veined and tender needle center), giblets, intestines, etc. They offer up to 19 different types of meat, barbecued on Bincho charcoal (special for meat) on your table, dressed with sweet sauce, soy or salt. It is very famous among the Tokyoites and must be booked well in advance. Table rotation system is every two hours. A famous place in Tokyo but not very frequently visited by tourists yet.
