Donthuki Hidari. In Japanese, literally to the left of Dontsuki. Located on the streets of Hatchobori in a side alley. It's an izakaya specialized in seafood, especially shellfish, with a particular fondness for the uncommon ones. The restaurant is small yet elegant and comfortable, featuring a wonderful bar where you can see the fresh products of the day, and a second floor with 2 private rooms. The menu has a basic English version, but we recommend choosing from the tasting menus of around ... 5,000, 7,000, or 9,000 yen. Among the many delights they serve are: Gooseneck barnacles, sea snail with natto soyu sauce, assorted mollusk sashimi, chawanmushi (a kind of savory egg custard) with dried scallops in Chinese dry style, conger eel tempura, assorted mollusk sashimi, risotto, dessert. You can enjoy the intense flavor and texture of seafood, both in sashimi and cooked dishes. Simple seasonings like salt, lemon, or yuzu. Paired with excellent local sakes or white wine. A true hidden gem that you would hardly find without assistance.
