Aiduya Honten 会津屋 本店
Aiduya Honten is the original restaurant of a popular Osaka takoyaki chain. He was born in this restaurant 80 years ago, at the beginning of the Showa era. He is famous for being the genuine inventor of takoyaki, the typical dish that all locals love. The main characteristic of their takoyaki is that it is always served without sauce. They insist that their takoyaki should be tasted first as this is the best way to appreciate the perfect balance between the large pieces of octopus and the batter ... . You may add sauce and toppings to taste if you wish. The takoyaki balls are smaller than normal so that the balance between the crunchy outside and the inside is optimal. The plate itself is relatively cheap for only 600 yen with 12 takoyaki balls. There are three types that can be ordered combined in one serving. The so-called Radio-Yaki is also very popular which contains pieces of beef instead of octopus. They are served with a rich homemade soup. The concept since its inception is to make a cheap and accessible snack for everyone. It is located very closely to the Tamade station.
