Chikae is a popular seafood restaurant with kaiseki style Izakaya. It is a must see in Fukuoka and is frequently visited by tourists and locals. The display around is spectacular with large aquariums full of "super fresh" fish where the kitchens and seating bars are located. They have a warm and bustling atmosphere, with a Japanese aesthetic. On the second floor, there are rooms with tatami seats and western-style tables. Their must-try dish is certainly the fish on sashimi.
