Yakitori Liberty Ribatei is a family restaurant that opened 70 years ago in Fukutomicho, a residential Yokohama neighborhood, with a local flavor and very different from the touristic Minato-mirai or Chinatown. The Chef, Tomotsugu Sakakiba, third generation, grills his skewers with the expertise of 20 years of experience. There is only one Omakase Course or "Chef recommendation Course". The master serves is skewers and other delights until you are satisfied or the expected time is up. So, you ju ... st need to worry about ordering the drinks and enjoy. It usually starts with a Kawa (crispy chicken skin), followed with different yakitori speciality chicken parts, vegetables and other meat skewers. At Liberty they like to finish with their signature fried rice (Chahan) seasoned with house-made curry powder. You can also choose within a great selection of sakes. You can only eat there with a previously made reservation, which is included for free if you are a Japan Gourmet Pass member.
