Gion Sasaki is a kaiseki restaurant one step away from the magnificent Kennin-Ji temple and ten minutes from Gion-Shinjo station. Awarded with three Michelin stars, it offers a creative and experimental cuisine that transcends the canons. Chef Sasaki, considered one of the terrible enfants of current Japanese cuisine, combines tradition and modernity, fusing various cultures. It unfolds the so-called Sasaki theater where four chefs behind a wooden bar make sublime creations and interact with din ... ers. The menu is "omakase" with excellent seasonal products. It includes two starters, a soup, sashimi, three main courses, two rice dishes and five desserts. It is a multisensory experience with different flavors, aromas, textures and a careful visual aspect. Dinners include the most original and select creations. It is one of the most difficult restaurants to book in Kyoto. All the diners start eating at the same time. Do not be late.
